For the past 30 years of my life I worked in computer type positions with telephone companies, an airline, and a credit
union.
I have been married for my entire adult life to a lady who spoils me rotten. She was stricken a few years
ago with a chronic disease and now I have a chance to pay her back. She was the most important inspiration for my change of
career to massage therapy.
I managed to help raise two kids and numerous animals.
I have had many blessings in my life. We have all had challenges, but over all I have had it very easy.
I have enough close, dear friends to need two hands to count them.
My kids grew up without being on drugs.
My inlaws cared about me and always treated me with respect.
My wife was treated the same by my family.
We have never starved.
We have always had a roof over our heads.
The list goes on and on.
Even with all that good luck, I felt something was missing in my life and in my career, so with a little push
from a layoff last year, I took the plunge and decided to make some drastic changes.
I wanted to do something that helps people and found the massage school I just completed training in. I am on the
road to a career that has given me the opportunity to use my new skills to actually help people deal with their muscular pain.
I have found work that brings me not only satisfaction, but joy as well. How wonderful it feels to see people walk
away from my table feeling good or being able to move arms that were previously too sore to move or gaining range of motion
that had been shortened because of tight knotted muscles.
